the LiveJournal-Blogspot transcription is well under way. slowly but surely.
the painful part is that i have to edit each of the 300+ posts. mainly resizing the photos to fit the template.
although it seems much more fun with lots of cool widgets, i notice that Blogger has a few small hiccups here and there....when i've never had any problem with my LiveJournal blog.
i wonder if im eligible for a little slice of the government's stimulus package. they've begun sending out cheques this month. i better have a word with my accountant.
these are the "Mr Hudsons" (named after the GOOD Music artist and 808 collaborator) by Kanye West for Louis Vuitton. first seen back inJanuary*, they made their second public appearance when Mr West wore it to the recently concluded Givenchy F/W 2009 show
of all the designs - he did three basic styles in various permutations for men - these are the only ones that quite appeal to me. i prefer the low cut style and the slight preppy boat shoe vibe of this particular pair. i quite like the tassels too. though i don't see myself wearing it with acid washed jeans like he does, i can see it working better with chinos or even grey trousers.
i wish he'd also include this little piston seen on this women's model:
its the "Graduation" bear head by Takashi Murakami used his previous album:
cute huh?
here's the rest of the men's collecton including their (tentative) prices:
though these are not quite my style (bar one), they don't seem too bad either to be honest. i did expect them look somewhat like those YSL and Pierre Hardy high tops Kanye West is very fond of wearing. so no surprises there. but i still have to see these in real life to pass my final judgment.
i really thought i have missed out on this, but my ever able SA rang me up yesterday to tell me the good news. she even managed to get me two neckties all the way from Hong Kong. YIPEE!!!
the other one is for my dad. i originally requested for three because my brother wants one too. but two is better than none.
a skinny tie requires a smaller collar. conventional collars will be disproportionate. im quite pleased with how it looks in these photos.
here's my Stephen Sprouse Tribute Monogram Graffiti family:
i think im pretty done for Spring 2009. i've got everything i set out to acquire this season and then some. must focus on Fall '09 now. im praying to the LV gods particularly for this:
i do hope this makes the final cut and that it won't cost a limb or two *fingers crossed*
ok, i've finally taken photos of the rest of the February 2009 intake.
first up, is the Explorer sneakers in brandy:
made of calf leather with traditional brogue detailing, this pair combines the "elegance of a formal shoe with the ease of a sneaker" - the perfect travel shoe.
i also purchased this book to add to my growing Louis Vuitton publications:
i don't play much, but these deck of cards are just to temptingly affordable to pass up:
