the first official photos of the Sophia Coppola Collection:

based on the classic Keepall bandouliere, the SC bag - "Sophia" is already taken - is available in grey suede as seen above, navy and burgundy calfskin and in the traditional LV Monogram Canvas. as for the flat evening clutches, the clasps are the same ones used in LV's trunks and suitcases. besides the bags, she has also designed a pair of wedge peeptoe sandals in silver and gold:

this is the one im quite interested in - the Monogram SC bag:

it surely looks like a cross between a Speedy and a Keepall but with little tweaks like the zip opening going down the sides, covered lock and new key bell. some might say its rather uninspired, but i don't think her aim was to shake things up at Vuitton. she did design it for herself.
"what i was imagining was chic and classic without tons of hardware and not too show-offy.... i wanted a bag that i could use every day that was coming from the heritage of Louis Vuitton's great leather goods, not connected to the fashion side of the brand.”
i like the simplicity and practicality of her designs. something one would expect from Sofia Coppola. no gimmicks. i LoVe it!
they just made their debut in Tokyo yesterday (5 Dec) and will be available to the rest of the world in March.
